Jane created her first book ‘Cat’s Colours’
in 1996 whilst working as a graphic designer within children’s
publishing. She was fortunate enough to design the first
picture books for some
now highly respected author and illustrators.
Jane’s books are extremely popular in the U.S.A.
having won the Oppenheim Toy Portfolio award
3 times, where the winner is announced live on the ‘Today
show,’ on U.S. television. Sadly Jane has never
witnessed this but she likes to think it’s some-what
like the Oscars.
She also illustrated for ‘Ohisima,’ children’s
magazine in Japan for five years, undertakes commissions
for murals and appears at events and workshops at book
festivals and schools.
Jane thinks she has the best job in the world, as she
can juggle work and look after her 2 small children. They
live in beautiful south Devon between the moor and sea
with a very friendly dog
and a guinea-pig. Their 500 year old thatched house is
also home to a lot more (uninvited) animals. Thank you
for taking the time to look at Jane’s website.
